Quality of care
Keeping patients and families at the center of decisions, and making sure good intentions are backed up by good results.
Nearly three decades in healthcare have taught me that strong care depends on the people providing it and the systems supporting them.
I've spent my career in healthcare, helping organizations care for patients and families while building stronger teams and more dependable operations.
Keeping patients and families at the center of decisions, and making sure good intentions are backed up by good results.
Listening to staff, supporting their growth, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
Being transparent, making thoughtful decisions, and taking responsibility for the things that need to improve.
I’ve held executive and operational leadership roles in hospice, home health, and palliative care, with responsibility for finances, staffing, quality, and growth. My experience includes nonprofit, hospital-based, and multi-state organizations, as well as interim leadership and consulting assignments.
As Vice President of Hospice & Palliative Care, I held responsibility for the hospice division within an approximately $80 million nonprofit organization.
In Juneau, I stepped into interim leadership of the community’s only home health and hospice provider. The work has focused on dependable operations, timely documentation, survey readiness, and access to care in a rural setting.
These results describe specific periods and assignments. They reflect the work of the teams I led and supported.
The October report’s interim review of Q2-to-Q3 financial statements recorded labor expenses down more than 30%, operating expenses down more than 20%, operating loss improved by 10%, and gross patient revenue 9% above budget. These period-specific results are not a forecast of future performance.
I shared Home Health & Hospice updates during the monthly Bartlett Regional Hospital Board of Directors meetings listed below. Open Bartlett’s public board archive for the meeting packets and minutes.
